rciyes University, which was founded in 1978, has be-
come one of the most developed and prestigious uni-
Eversities in Turkey since its foundation.

Our university offers education for nearly 52.000 national and
international students with 19 faculties, 7 graduate schools,
1 school, 2 vocational schools and 43 research centers; in ad-
dition, it is a higher education institution having a very good
scientific infrastructure and research facilities and paying at-
tention to the university-industry cooperation.
Our university, with a deep-rooted history, is the leading uni-
versity in Kayseri, a city of education, health and especially
trade; moreover, the Medical Faculty Hospitals within our
university, one of the largest university hospitals in Turkey in
terms of the bed capacity and development level, maintain
health services.
Erciyes University contributes not only to the development of
the city but also to the scientific and technological develop-
ment of Turkey through its numerous national and interna-
tional scientific research projects.

Researches in almost every field, particularly in the field of
medicine and engineering are carried out in 43 research cent-
ers of our university. Areas, notably vaccine, such as drug and
nanotechnology are among the main areas implementing
successful researches.
Maintaining its research and educational activities unceas-
ingly with its accomplished academic staff since its founda-
tion, Erciyes University has been among the world’s leading
universities as well.

Being the 136 world’s most sustainable university and 2 in

Turkey in UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, Erciyes
University also achieved to be ranked in the 701-800 bracket

among the foremost universities in the world and 2 among
the universities in our country together with 6 universities
in the ARWU (Academic Ranking of World Universities), pub-
lished by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, one of the most es-
teemed ranking organizations in the world.
