           THE PARTICULAR QUALITIES OF THE FACULTY
           The Faculty of Tourism has been founded within Erciyes Uni-
           versity, a well-known research university, and possesses sever-
           al facilities such as modern interactive teaching opportunities
           with appropriate physical infrastructure, and an independent
           conference hall. Thanks to the catering and servicing facilities,

           The curriculum of our departments is mainly based on foreign
           languages and  theoretical  and practical vocational educa-
           tion and is supported by basic management and guidance
           courses to prepare the students for the tourism sector. Along
           with the compulsory internship, the faculty curriculum, which
           is mainly practical, involves some elective courses in Turkish
           and English which are in resonance with Bologna Process. The
           academic calendar has been designed in such a way that stu-
           dents can organize their internship properly and easily. The
           annual Career Days familiarizes students with the companies
           where they are going to do internships.
           The faculty also provides students many opportunities by
           means of Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana Exchange Programs to
           continue their education at a different school both in Turkey
           and abroad. The Tourism Management Student Club and the
           Gastronomy Student Club, which are directly related to the
           faculty, organize events during semesters under the supervi-
           sion of faculty lecturers.
           STUDENT FACILITIES

           The aim of the faculty is to encourage students to have ad-
           vance knowledge of English, as well as professional knowl-
           edge and skills, and a second foreign language, to learn differ-
           ent social structures and features, realize and improve their
           own abilities, develop effective communication skills, learn
           the particulars of teamwork, manage a tour, and acquire a
