ATATURK PRINCIPLES AND
REVOLUTION HISTORY INSTITUTE
Atatürk Institute was founded in 2010. Our Institute, as stated
in the general framework of institutional law, has taken on the
mission of conducting research about the principles based
on the Turkish War of Independence, the Turkish revolution
and the regime of the Republic of Turkey that were all carried
GRADUATE SCHOOLS ers at all levels to use the museums, archives and libraries that
out under the leadership of Ataturk based scientific methods
interdisciplinary approaches; enabling readers and research-
it owns; giving seminars and lectures and making publica-
tions to promote the history of Republic of Turkey both in the
country and abroad; lecturing and teaching ethical values and
transforming them into a life style, developing the sense of
belonging towards the university and country during these
lectures and creating a solid citizenship awareness;giving
postgraduate courses, taught in faculties and colleges, in the
field of Atatürk’s Principles and Revolution History and the his-
tory of the Republic and educating academicians specialized
in this field.
The aim of the Institute is : ” to make all kinds of research
about the principles on which The Turkish War of Independ-
ence, Turkish revolution and the regime of the Turkish Repub-
lic based; to set up libraries and museums by collecting docu-
ments and publications related to these subjects and build up
archives; to give lectures and conferences to promote Turkish
Revolution and Regime both inside and outside the country
and make all kinds of publications” The targets of the Institute
are to perform scientific research on the Turkish Revolution
and Atatürk Principles.
The academic staff of the institute introduces lectures on
Atatürk Principles and The History of Turkish Revolution to the
entire students of Erciyes University.
The Institute has Master program. These program encourage
students to study any subject concerning the moderniza-
tion of Turkish society, Turkish National Struggle, the estab-
lishment and development of the Turkish Republic, Atatürk
Thought System, Atatürk Principles and Reforms as well as her
international relations. Today, there are 19 students enrolled
in Master.
