           TEACHING APPROACH AND RESPONSIBILITIES
           Apart from teaching all subjects related to Islam, we aim to
           enable our students to perceive the philosophical, historical,
           sociological aspects of  religion,  to treat  people of  different
           faiths with tolerance, and to work towards social peace and
           harmony. Various subjects are taught in the fields of Islam and

           gious Culture and Ethics at elementary and secondary schools
           and also teach all professional subjects at Imam-Hatip High

           PERIOD OF STUDY

           The duration of education is four years without the prepara-
           tory class. Our faculty accepts students according to their ver-
           bal points.
           DEPARTMENTS AND BASIC BRANCHES

           The Department of Basic Islamic Sciences includes the follow-
           ing  branches:  Interpretation  of  Quran,  Hadith,  Islamic  Juris-
           prudence, Islamic Theology, History of Islamic Sects, Islamic
           Theosophy, Arabic Language and Eloquence, and Recitation
           of Quran.

           The Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences in-
           cludes the following branches: History of Philosophy, Islamic
           Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Logic, History of Religions,
           Sociology of Religion, Psychology of Religion and Religious
           Education.

           The Department of Islamic History and Art includes the fol-
           lowing branches: Islamic History, History of Turkish Islamic
           Arts, Turkish Islamic Literature.
