FACULTY OF SPORTS SCIENCES
BRIEF HISTORY
Erciyes University’s Department of Physical Education was ini-
tially opened as a department of Erciyes University’s Faculty
of Arts and Science in 1991. The college was established as an
EU Physical Education College in its own right in 1995. Our first
students were recruited to the department of Physical Educa-
tion Teaching in the 1995-1996 academic year. The Coaching
Education Sports Management and Recreation Departments
were established in the 2003-2004, 2005-2006 and 2006-2007
academic years respectively.
FACULTIES There are 29 academic personnel and 1561 students in our
ACADEMIC STAFF AND STUDENTS
Faculty. The faculty has three professors, four associate profes-
sors, seven assistant professors, and two research assistants.
Among 1561 students, 959 students study at daytime classes
and 618 students are in evening classes.
