           MEDICINE




















      FACULTIES  FVMEU is a member of “The Association for the Evaluation


           and Accreditation of Veterinary Institutes and Programs of
           Veterinary Medicine (VEDEK) in Turkey and The European As-
           sociation of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE).
           FVMEU was accredited by VEDEK on 14 February 2020. Erci-
           yes University ranked 5th among Turkish universities and the
           Veterinary Faculty takes the first place among veterinary fac-
           ulties in Turkey and among all faculties in Erciyes University
           in 2018. There are a  total of 81 academic staff; 37 professors,
           10 associate professors, 19 assistant professors, a lecturer and
           14 research assistants in FVMEU. Over the last 18 years, the
           FVMEU has graduated 884 veterinarians, 204 masters, and 35
           Ph.D. degrees and it has currently 519 students enrolled in the
           5-year veterinary curriculum along with 261 master and 94
           Ph.D. students.
           Main Features of the Establishment
           Besides its education and research activities, FVMEU contrib-
           utes to animal health and livestock activities by providing
           services to Kayseri and surroundings by Veterinary Teaching
           Hospital (VTH) which is strategic and accessibly located. VTH
           of FVMEU is the largest animal hospital in the region which
           consists of three blocks, to provide clinical services for all
           domestic and exotic animal species. The services given by
           FVMEU are recently being recognized by its stakeholders and
           public, which increase the number of patient and the hand-on
           work potential for the students. Furthermore, scientists work-
