the second year, mostly applied education is given. Students
do their practical educating in Erciyes University Faculty of
Dentistry Oral-Dental Health Units. Those who complete the
VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS in Dental Laboratories of Public and Private Institutions, Den-
program are awarded the Associate Degree diploma and the
title of Health Technician. Graduates of the program can work

If those who have completed the Oral and Dental Health
program are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS)
conducted by Measuring, Selection and Placement Center
(OSYM); they can switch to Health Administration, Health Insti-
tutions Management and Health Management Undergradu-
ate Programs.

Anesthesia Program
In this program, technical staff are educated to assist anesthe-
siologists. Health Technician working in this field, anesthesi-
ologist and / or operating room supervisor are under the su-
pervision of a specialist. According to the instructions of the
specialist who performed the surgery, he or she does what
is necessary for the operation and narcosis to result without
problems.

Health Technicians in line with the directives of the anesthe-
siologist performs tasks such as; resulting of anesthesia with-
out any problems, preparing the patients for anesthesia and
surgery, monitoring the patient during anesthesia, checking
the anesthesia device and the operating table before each op-
eration, having the environment to be anesthetized ready for
the operation, recording all observation-findings of the anes-
thesia process and the patient, and maintaining all the materi-
als used in the anesthesia process. Anesthesia graduates can
work in University, State and Private Hospitals.
If those who have completed the Anesthesia program are
successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by
OSYM; they can switch to Emergency Aid and Disaster Man-
agement, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services Undergradu-
ate Programs.
