FACULTY OF SCIENCES
BRIEF HISTORY
The Faculty of Sciences, which started academic studies with
four departments in the 1984-1985 academic year, now has
five departments in three blocks, all of which were kindly do-
nated by the Cıngıllıoğlu family.
MISSION AND VISION
The goal of Faculty is to provide a modern education and fa-
cilitate high-level research in all five basic sciences. There are
double major and minor programs for students who prefer to

pursue a more interdisciplinary approach in their studies.
The motivated, dynamic academic staff of our faculty includes
52 professors, 19 associate professors, seven assistant profes-
sors, six instructors, nine experts, 11 research assistants. In ad-
dition, modern education is provided to 1381 students.
