240 ECTS until graduation. Students who complete this pro-
cess deserve to receive a bachelor’s degree. There are totally
nine classrooms in our department. Furthermore, our faculty
has three computer laboratories with 40 people capacity per
each which can be used by the students of our department.

Astronomy And Space Sciences
The Astronomy and Space Sciences Department, founded in
1999, began enrolling students in the 2003-2004 academic
year. Our department has one professor, six assistant profes-
sors, and four research assistants, two of them have Ph.D.
FACULTIES degree. Research projects are currently being carried out in
the field of stellar evolution, photometry of binary stars, radio
astronomy, and high energy astrophysics. In addition, there
is a radio astronomy and optical astronomy observatory un-
der the supervision of Erciyes University’s Astronomy and
Space Sciences Observatory Application and Research Center
(UZAYBİMER) which is the first and only Radio Astronomy Ob-
servatory of Turkey.

Additionally, Doctorate (Ph.D.) and Master (MSc) programmes
are available through the Institute of Natural and Applied Sci-
ences.
Students who graduated from the department can find em-
ployment in various fields such as Telecommunication and
Communication, TÜRKSAT, Turkish Statistical Institute, Turkish
State Meteorological Service.
