Chemistry Department
The department was established in 1984 with more than 30
years of experience in academic life. The staff consists of 14
professors, two associate professors, two assistant professors.
Five of the instructors were granted their doctorates abroad.
One of our instructors has won a TÜBİTAK Encouragement
Prize. The daytime education programs include undergradu-
ate BS degree program and graduate programs including
master’s (MS) degrees (Turkish and English) and doctoral pro-
grams within the Institute of Science and Technology.
The department has six classrooms and 16 laboratories (four
student education labs & 12 for research facilities) all with
high-speed fiber-optic internet connections. Wireless internet
connection is also available for the staff and the students. Edu-
cation, research and other activities are carried out at different
areas of chemistry mainly based on Analytical Chemistry, Bio-
chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic
Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry disciplines.
Maths Department
The academic staff of the department consists of 10 professors,
three associate professors, two assistant professors, an instruc-
tor, and four research assistants. The department includes six
branches which are Analysis, Geometry, Algebra and Number
Theory, Applied Mathematics, Topology and Fundamentals of
Mathematics and Logic. Our department also conducts mas-
ter and doctorate programs via the Institute of Science. In ad-
dition, our department also gives fundamental mathematic
lessons in a variety of faculty and vocational schools of our
university. The education period is four years (total of eight
terms). In order to finish the undergraduate program, students
