100th Year TUBITAK and TUBA Awards Ceremony was held under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Beştepe Nation’s Convention and Culture Center in Ankara. Within the scope of the ceremony, 5 Faculty Members of our university were presented with their awards by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Prof. Dr. Derviş Karaboğa, a Faculty Member at the ERU Faculty of Engineering, was deemed worthy of 2 awards with his studies in the field of artificial intelligence including the 2023 Turkish Academy of Sciences (TUBA) International Academy Award, given to the scientists who become prominent with their unique, pioneering and groundbreaking projects, and 100th Year TUBITAK Science Award 2023 in the category of Engineering Sciences. He received his award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Prof. Dr. Nurhan Karaboğa, a Faculty Member at the ERU Faculty of Engineering, was awarded the TUBA-TESEP Award.

Assoc. Prof. Emrah Tıraş, a Faculty Member at the ERU Faculty of Science, and Asst. Prof. Yavuz Nuri Ertaş, a Faculty Member at the ERU Faculty of Engineering, deserved to receive TUBA-GEBIP Award. Assoc. Prof. Zeynep Burçin Gönen, a Faculty Member at the ERU Faculty of Dentistry, was deemed worthy of the 2023 TUBITAK Incentive Award in the field of Health Sciences.

Emphasizing that they, as Erciyes University, always aimed to reach the top and, in this context, supported the academics in every field, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun congratulated the outstanding scientists deemed worthy of the awards for their high-quality studies in their fields and wished them success in their future studies.
