As part of the Environmental Truck Project of the Turkish Environmental Agency of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Green Campus Festival was held at our university.
ERU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Oktay Özkan, academics, and students attended the event organized at the university festival area by the ERU Environmental Problems and Clean Production Application and Research Center.
Speaking at the opening of the event, Rector Altun invited the students to participate in various activities during the event. He also thanked the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
He emphasized that ERU was ranked third in Türkiye in UI Greenmetric rankings and added: “We continue to do our best to green our campus and enhance its sustainability.”
Following his speech, he visited the stands at the festival area and got information from the staff.
The event continued with various activities, including trainings on awareness, workshops, and competitions.
