The opening ceremony of renovated Sabancı Main Entrance and landscaped area where Sabancı Cutural Complex and classrooms of the Faculty of Medicine are located was held.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oktay Özkan, senate members, deans of faculties, directors of schools and vocational schools, academic and administrative staff attended the opening ceremony.

Making a speech at the ceremony, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun thanked Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality for the contribution to the environmental planning.

He continued as follows: “We have implemented our master plan in order to improve landscape of our university. The opening ceremony we have carried out today is a beginning. We are sure that Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç will continue to support us in the upcoming processes. I would like to thank those who contributed to the organization of the event.”

Stating that Erciyes University is the source of pride of Kayseri, Mayor Büyükkılıç said: “Erciyes University is our pride. It is a university that has discovered the Turkovac vaccine. I wish the works carried out to be auspicious for our university and city.”
