A protocol was signed for the devices, “Canon Monoplan Angio System Alphenix Sky” and “Canon Ultrasonography Aplio A”, by Turkuaz Ceramics Industry and Trade Inc. in order to put into the service of the citizens.
“We are proud to be here and make these speeches”
Participating in the protocol signing ceremony, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki said: “As a citizen of these lands, we are proud to make these speeches. Both our benefactors and faculty members of the university continue to work with enthusiasm. May God let them continue to work in cooperation with each other. In this society, commerce and shopping are at the forefront, but we pray so that God will grant this beauty, goodness, generosity and humanity in the background to all societies. We are proud to be here and make these speeches. It is said: ‘Hopefully, the next time we come, we will sign another protocol.’ As God Almighty proclaimed: ‘If you are grateful, I shall give you more.’ We hereby would like to thank Baktır and Özkaya families. Our esteemed faculty members will provide service here by improving themselves. May these devices be auspicious.”
“We have moved into a process that will allow 4 to 5 heart operations to be performed at the same time”
Erciyes University Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun said: “We are so happy and proud today that the support provided to our university made us really very strong. We made an addition to our angiography devices 7-8 months ago. We are now here to sign the protocol of the second one with you. I would like to thank Executive Board Chairman of Turkuaz Ceramics Abidin Özkaya for his contribution to and support in the health services of our university. We have moved into a process in which we will easily meet the intense patient demand and continue 4 to 5 heart operations at the same time. It is very important for us because the Medical Faculty Hospital of our university provides service not only for our city but also for our region. In addition to its support it provides for our citizens in terms of health, our hospital also trains distinguished scientists for the world of medicine. In particular, training medical faculty students and presenting valuable findings in the R&D dimension to all humanity are among the important topics of our Faculty of Medicine.
“It is admirable that we are the only university hospital in the east of Ankara with a robotic surgical system”
Drawing attention to the fact that the artificial intelligence was used actively not only in the field of health at our university, but also in the field of engineering, our Rector continued as follows: “Our university is an institution that continues its activities with its 19 faculties, 1 school and vocational school. We want to continue to increase these services as a locomotive for our city and industry. We continue to carry out our works as a university that makes significant contributions to our country and the humanity and that targets value-added P&D activities. I again would like to thank Demiryaka Holding for its contribution. It is admirable that we are the only university hospital in the east of Ankara with a robotic surgical system. For this reason, I would like to thank Executive Board Chairman Necmettin Baktır.”
“We are also very happy to donate these devices that are useful for the health of millions of people”
Benefactor Abidin Özkaya said: “We love our university, Kayseri and our country. We will do our best until our last breath on these lands. The fact that Erciyes University has been ranked 8th among research universities in Türkiye both with its academic staff and in terms of its development in recent years motivates us, makes us proud and gives us enthusiasm. We continue our relations with the faculty members of our own land and our Rector. Therefore, donating these devices that are useful for the health of millions of people makes us happy. I am the Executive Board Chairman, but our real chairman is Mr. Abdurrahman. His contribution, the contribution of our partners and these kinds of things are approved by our family as a result of a kind of unanimity; therefore, I am very happy. When I sometimes ask them, they say: ‘Why do you need to ask these things? This is a charity work; whatever you say, let it be.’ We purchased our device. When making such purchases, the easiest part of the job for me is to bargain and pay. I would like to thank our Rector, Chief Physician, Deputy Chief Physicians, faculty members and especially Dr. Güven, who took care of the technical part of the process together with Mr. Yusuf.”
After the speeches, the protocol was signed.
