Our university hosted a delegation from Universiti Malaysia Sabah within the framework of international academic cooperation between Erciyes University and Universiti Malaysia Sabah as part of the letter of intent signed between the two institutions in 2023.

Dr. Rizal Idris from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Sabah University, Academic Advisor Ezni Herzi and students from Universiti Malaysia Sabah participated in the visit. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cevdet Kırpık, Head of the Foreign Relations Office Prof. Dr. Mustafa Öztürk, Prof. Dr. Ömer Kurtbag and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Öcal of the Department of International Relations hosted the delegation.

In his speech during the visit, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Cevdet Kırpık expressed his satisfaction on behalf of our University. Prof. Dr. Kırpık said, “The friendship and cooperation between our countries is getting stronger every day, especially in the fields of education and academia. Your visit is an important step that will further strengthen these relations.”

Stating that academics and students from different countries bring a universal dimension to knowledge, Prof. Dr. Kırpık pointed out that cultural diversity enriches academic perspectives. “It is a great gain for us to meet you and host you at our university.”

Within the scope of the visit, the delegation will visit the academic and administrative units of our University and make various contacts.
