White Coat Ceremony organized by the Faculty of Dentistry

A white coat ceremony was held for the students who started their dental education at the Faculty of Dentistry in the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

ERU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. H. Sinan Topçuoğlu, Dean of the Nuh Naci Yazgan University Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Cem Gürgan, Chief Physician of ERU Dental Faculty Hospital Prof. Dr. Sezer Demirbuğa, Chairman of Kayseri Chamber of Dentists İlhan Karacalar, academics, students and families attended the ceremony held at Erciyes Cultural Center.

Making a speech at the opening of the ceremony, Rector Altun stated that they strive for Erciyes University to be at the top in every field. He said: “We want the best for our city. We also want our country to be strong and we work hard to serve humanity.”

Emphasizing that they are encouraged by the efforts of the ERU academics in every field, our Rector also gave the good news that the additional service building of the Faculty of Dentistry will be completed this year.

He gave advice to the students in his speech saying: “Loving your country comes first. What you need to do from now on is to work non-stop. You should work hard, improve yourselves and serve this country.”

Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. H. Sinan Topçuoğlu said: “Medical profession is one of the most respected and sacred occupations in the world.”

He gave advice to the students and said: “While practicing your profession, you will adhere to ethical principles in the light of science. Your conscience must always be with you. I am sure that you will always have these values. You will always take these values into consideration when treating your patients and you will not neglect them.”

Chairman of Kayseri Chamber of Dentists İlhan Karacalar wished the students success.

Following the speeches, the faculty members who achieved academic success in the 2024-2025 Academic Year were presented with plaques.

The ceremony ended after 159 students wore their white coats.
