Erciyes university was awarded the “Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Certificate of Achievement” by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources for its energy efficiency studies implemented between 2019 and 2023.

The Energy Management Unit was established within the Energy Transformation Research and Application Center and measures in accordance with the legislation were put into practice. In this context, energy losses and leakages were prevented in lighting, heating-cooling, building insulation and other energy consumption in the buildings of our university. In addition, an energy management system was established to monitor the heat and electricity consumption in all buildings and consumption started to be monitored instantly.

Our university, which has taken crucial steps towards becoming a sustainable and green campus, will take another important step in the field of energy efficiency with the installation of a 2 MW solar power plant and will contribute significantly to our country's %30 energy saving target by 2030.
