Making a speech during the ceremony, Governor Gökmen Çiçek said: “The protocol aims to increase the awareness of young people on cyber-security and to provide them with training on this issue, which will last for one year. It will enable them to find jobs in this sector, which is considered as Türkiye's national security problem. In this sense, a training program will be organized. Let’s create the staff that the companies in our country need among our young people in such an environment where communication technology is mostly relating to cyber and software technology has increased. We will achieve the organization of staff that our country needs together with our students. In this sense, I think this protocol is very important. The fact that the training program to be provided will last for one year will provide a certain stability and hopefully will be renewed.”
Rector Altun thanked Governor Gökmen Çiçek for his support and said: “We are here today to sign an important protocol. Erciyes University is an institution with distinguished scientists who have made a name for themselves not only in the field of health but also in engineering and artificial intelligence. We will contribute to the strategy of our country by raising awareness of young people on cyber-security processes, which have become significant recently, by organizing these trainings. I wish the protocol to be auspicious. We will closely follow the processes in the trainings that will last for a year, what we need to do and what strategies we need to go through.”
