101 students from seven departments graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture.

ERU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. M. Hakan Poyrazoğlu, Secretary General Prof. Dr. İbrahim Narin, Deputy Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Afşın Alper Cerit, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Serkan Şahan, Benefactor Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu, academics, students, and families attended the graduation ceremony held at Sabancı Cultural Complex.

Rector Altun thanked Benefactor Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu for his support in the establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture. He stated that they are conducting studies to serve the humanity.

He continued as follows: “Erciyes University conducts many effective studies from health to engineering and from agriculture to social sciences. The university developed the vaccine against the corona virus when needed and presented it to Türkiye and the entire humanity. He thanked Prof. Dr. Aykut Özdarendeli, Director of the Vaccine Research and Development Center, for his studies on the development of the vaccine.

He underlined that the Phase-1 studies of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever were completed at our university and said that Erciyes University Vaccine Research and Development Institute was established. He thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar for their support in the establishment of the institute and said: “If there is a need for a vaccine in the future, a qualified research team will conduct studies in the institute.”

He congratulated the faculty management, academic and administrative staff and students for their achievements and wished the graduates success.

Dean Prof. Dr. Serkan Şahan said: “I wish you success in your professional lives. Good luck! Remember that serving humanity in the light of agricultural science is a crucial responsibility and also a great honor.”

Benefactor Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu said that he was happy to attend the graduation ceremony.
