760 students from 14 departments graduated from the Faculty of Engineering.

ERU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. M. Hakan Poyrazoğlu, Secretary General Prof. Dr. İbrahim Narin, Deputy Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Afşın Alper Cerit, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alper Öner, Mayor of Hacılar Bilal Özdoğan, academics, students, and families attended the graduation ceremony held at Erciyes Cultural Center.

Rector Altun said: “Erciyes University is conducting effective projects from artificial intelligence to defense industry through robotic systems. While conducting these studies, our aim is to be useful to the society. Not like what Israel is doing to humanity in Gaza; on the contrary, we are doing these studies with the principle of bringing love and help to humanity as a requirement of our religion that comes from our ancestors. We also condemn what Israel is doing.”

He said that they are always proud of the faculty’s successful studies and thanked the academic and administrative staff of the faculty for their efforts.

Addressing the graduates’ families, Rector Altun said: “Your children graduate as engineers. We know you have made sacrifices for them. You are proud of them. I would like to thank you.”

He gave advice to the students and said: “Try to participate in R&D processes and follow technological developments in your professional lives. Do not forget that one who loves his/her profession will be successful in life. We want you to be engineers who love their homeland, profession and serve people.”

Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. M. Hakan Poyrazoğlu congratulated the students and said: “Today is a special day for all of us because we are reaping the rewards of efforts and hard work.”

Dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alper Öner said that ERU Faculty of Engineering is one of the best faculties in Türkiye and continued as follows: “We are proud that almost twenty-six thousand engineers have graduated from the faculty since its establishment. You graduate from a well-established faculty. You can say this proudly.”

After speeches, Rowa Monafalı, the top student of the term, placed a plaque on the graduation log.

The event ended after the graduates took an oath and were presented with their diplomas.
