Hosted by Erciyes University, the Supreme Board meeting of the Anatolian Universities Association was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education.

Making a speech at the meeting, Professor Özvar said: “As the Council of Higher Education, we attach great importance to and support the existence of the Anatolian Universities Association and similar mechanisms that contribute significantly to the culture of academic solidarity. I believe that with the establishment of such mechanisms that function regularly, many beneficial results will be achieved, such as solving all kinds of problems relating to our higher education system with common sense, developing cooperation in research, education and training and knowledge sharing activities, making the infrastructures of our universities available for the common use of other universities and sharing best practice examples. As the Anatolian Universities Association, I believe that it will be extremely beneficial for us to further develop the cooperation between our universities in the coming period. I think that it would be useful to carefully consider topics such as the establishment of joint research centers, increasing project cooperation, and organizing project markets for students.”

ERU Rector and Chairman of the Anatolian Universities Association Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun said that they were happy to host the meeting.
